This is basic insight meditation in which we'll be using the heart and our breath as our anchor.
Start by settling to your meditation posture. Take a few deep belly breaths to help settle in, notice how your body's feeling.
As you continue to breath into your belly let your awareness settle gently at your heart.
Keep your awareness on your breath and your heart noticing anything there is to notice about your experience as you do this.
If you get distracted and your awareness drifts - simply acknowledge that this has happened and come back to the breath - back to the heart.
Continue in this way for the duration of your meditation.
When you finish take a moment to thank yourself for doing the practice, notice how you feel and make a note about anything you noticed during the practice.
