BREATH

“Breath is the foundation of your being.”

Of all the things that are precious to you the breath maybe the most.
Of all the things that connects us as humans (and earthlings) the breath may be the most universal.
How many things have come on gone on this earth from the time of our ancestors (and there ancestors) until now? But the breath remains and has perhaps been for as long as life itself.

And yet we often take it for granted.

What if we tuned in this force of nature that support everyone we love and even those that we don’t indiscriminately?
What if we came back to foundation of our being, the fountain of life and sat with it and listened?
What if we honoured this gift with attention - if only for 15 minutes each day?

Try this simple practice:
Everyday spend 3 - 15 minutes tuning into the sensations of the breath.
It may take some time to train your attention to stay with the breath.
You may notice boredom, you may notice you’ve got a busy mind, you may think of 101 things you could be doing instead of tuning in with the breath.
This is all part of the practice. That’s why meditation is called a practice.
When you notice these things smile and come back to the breath (it’s been there for you forever - can’t you be there for it for 15 minutes?)
