Know Thy Self. WAY & WAYH

Who are you and why are you here?
These do questions resonate through all the work we do together.
When you can answer those two questions—not just with your words, but with your thoughts and actions—in a way that aligns with your heart more often than not, then our work is working.
This weeks practices are designed to help you to start to understand your priorities, your values and your vision so that you make sure you spending you time and energy in ways that are meaningful to you.

Below are this weeks practices. Both the Meditation and Mindfulness practices can be clicked on for video guidance.

Belly Breathing

From the moment we are born until our final breath, breathing remains a constant companion. Yet in the rush of daily life, we rarely notice it.
Through meditation, the breath becomes an anchor to the present moment, helping us slow down, go beyond monkey mind, and return to what truly matters.

TRY THIS:

Find a quiet place you can sit without being disturbed
Set a timer for the duration for 3 - 15 minutes.

Breath In and Out through your nose

Breath In and Out as gently as you can

Allow the out breath to be a little longer than the in breath

As you Breath In breath deep into the belly.

Keep your attention on the breath as best you can for the duration of the practice.

When you’ve finished take a moment to reflect and write in your journal about what you noticed.

WAY WAYH

TRY THIS:
Each day in your journal explore these two questions.
Who am I?
Why am I here?
Start by asking in reference too being in this course.
Imagine you were asked to introduce yourself and say a little about yourself (who are you?) and why are you here doing this course.
Then let the question be a bit more vague and open. Bring a sense of curiosity and playfulness to the exercise, there’s no right or wrong and you never have to share what you come up with

STOP (mobile mindfulness)

"In a world of rush sometimes the
most courageous thing you can do is slow down"

This journey starts by stopping.
Stepping out of autopilot and reactivity
& into purpose, presence and peace.

TRY THIS:

Set a timer to go of sporadically throughout the day that reminds you to STOP.

Stop or at least slow right down

Take a deep breath

Observe your experience.
‍ ‍What are you thinking?
‍ ‍What are you feeling?
‍ ‍What do you notice in your body?
What do notice in the world around you?

Proceed Purposefully - having taking the time to stop and notice what’s going on you are in a position to choose how to move forward.
